With over 15 years of experience in education in both elementary and middle school settings, Aaronlyn Wright has served in various capacities throughout her educational journey, with her most recent role being assistant principal at Fernbank. She looks forward to continuing to work to ensure our scholars receive the best educational experience possible.
Simone Willingham, Assistant Principal
Simone Willingham has been an enthusiastic and energetic educator for the past 30 years. She has a strong background in the arts having graduated from the “Fame” high school in New York City. Upon graduation from Hunter College, Simone earned the Master Of Science Degree as a Reading Specialist while serving as a Kindergarten teacher at PS 40 in Queens, New York. After moving to Georgia in 1995, she became a 1st grade teacher then a Reading Specialist for 18 years in the McNair Cluster in DeKalb County. After her tenure as an Instructional Support Specialist from 2015-2016, she made the transition to school administration as Assistant Principal at Fernbank Elementary.

Upon moving from Nashville, TN to Atlanta, Georgia in 2007, Ms. Solomon has passionately served the students and community of Dekalb County for 15 years in numerous ways throughout her tenure. It is with great enthusiasm that she begins her newest venture as Assistant Principal of Fernbank Elementary School. Ms. Solomon looks forward to working in partnership with the Fernbank staff and community to continue the tradition of advocating for and providing students with an educational experience where values, inclusion, and diversity are celebrated.
